Smokers Looking to Quit Can Benefit from Weight Training

Following the experiment, 16% of smokers who participated in the twice-a-week weight-lifting regimen reported quitting, compared to only 8% of the control group, and a follow-up investigation three months later found that the percentages were largely the same. With only a 25 person sample size, the results cannot be generalized to the entire population yet, but it remains an encouraging finding.
