The Prevent Cancer Foundation welcomes the recent Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) report that colorectal cancer incidence and death have significantly decreased due to a greater emphasis on screening. According to the CDC, the rate of new colorectal cancer (CRC) cases fell from 52.3 per 100,000 in 2003 to 45.4 per 100,000 in 2007. The U.S. death rate for colorectal cancer also fell from 19 to 16.7 per 100,000 between 2003 and 2007. ...
