Policymakers are seeking to ban all tobacco use on public university campuses across the country—prohibiting tobacco products both indoors and in outdoor areas of campuses. The ban on tobacco use at colleges and universities stems from concern for student health and reduced maintenance costs of smoke-free dorms.
