On July 20, Prevent Cancer Foundation participated in a Capitol Hill educational event to raise awareness about the Breakaway from Cancer campaign.  The educational meeting targeted  Members of Congress and Congressional staff to share information about resources available through the campaign partners, that can assist them and their constituents in navigating issues ranging across the spectrum of cancer prevention and care. Yesterday afternoon, First Lady Michelle Obama, Dr. Jill Biden and Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius spoke at George Washington University Hospital to announce the release of new guidelines that will provide free preventive health care services under the Affordable Care Act.
